.This weekend was totally too hot! We had made plans to go to the Swedish Midsommer Festival at the Erlander House,and still went even in the heat, it was really fun we made flower rings for our heads and kids turned into trolls before our vary eyes and no it wasn't due to all the sweets they ate they were making troll masks and tails the way kids did in the good ole days. Woodworking was also available , and a small antique sale and all Swedish, Norweigin and etc. such items with national pride displayed all over. Pancake and berrie galor and cucumber and dill, egg salad tea sandwiches umm yummy! Pirate Poohey was so excited she got to meet Pippi Longstocking whom told her some day she could replace her in the role and would only need a outfit, this girl had spray in ORANGE hair. We took Grandma who joined us home and went home to get ready for the evening. Poohey enjoyed it so much that she didn't wake up when we got home and when she tried she sat up straight in my arms kissed me and fell back to sleep upright. I layed her down and she immediately started snoring! (she doesn't typically snore)
We followed this day by a date night for just Mommy and Daddy with gourmet food paid for out of our pocket change bank. We walked around our favorite town away from home Galena and then by the water for the sunset ahh..
Father's day started early with presents for daddy in Mommy & Daddie's bed , Poohey thought it was great that she got to give presents to Daddy and Bomba you should know that I ordered the baseball caps and they turned out this time , I shall post a pic another time. Have a great Daddy's Day !!!!
